Treasurer,

Mary M. Weaver

Mary M. Weaver was elected as Treasurer in November 2023. She has worked in every aspect of the Treasurer's Office since October 1996, having previously served as Chief Deputy from 2020-2023. Weaver's term as Treasurer began on January 1, 2024.

Sheriff,

Hank Partin

Sheriff Partin began his career with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in December 1993. Rising through the ranks, he began as a patrol deputy and prior to being elected Sheriff, served as Captain over the Criminal Warrants/Civil Process and Courthouse Security Divisions. He assumed the Office of Sheriff on January 1, 2016, and he is also a member of the Virginia Sheriff’s Institute’s First class of Virginia Certified Sheriffs.

Commonwealth's Attorney,

Mary Pettitt

Mary Pettitt has served in that office since 2005. Pettitt is a native Virginian who graduated from the College of William and Mary and the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Prior to working for Montgomery County, she served as a prosecutor in Roanoke County and Gloucester County.

Board of Supervisors

District C

Steve Fijalkowski,

Vice Chair

Vice Chair Fijalkowski was initially elected to represent District C in 2018. He previously served as Chair in 2020 & 2021. Fijalkowski serves as a liaison for the Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Public School Board. He also serves as an alternate liaison on the New River Valley Regional Passenger Rail Authority and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Vice Chair Fijalkowski is also a representative of multiple authorities and commissions. He is also a member of the Public Service Authority and Road Viewers Board.

Todd King

Todd King’s “Board assignments” consist of Public Service Authority, Fairview District Home Board, Planning Commission Liaison, Roanoke Valley Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and Road Viewers Board.

School Board

Distract C

Dana M. Partin

Partin was elected in 2018 for Distract C of the school board. After graduating from Christiansburg High in 1987, Dana attended New River Community College and received an associate’s degree in Business Management & Finance. Then, she began attending and working at Virginia Tech. Dana began her career by working as an administrative assistant and academic student advisor in the Biological Systems Engineering Department. Her “Board Assignments” consist of VSBA Voting Delegate, Town of Christiansburg Liaison.

District D

Jamie Bond

Bond has served on the Montgomery County School Board since 2005. She is a graduate of Christiansburg High School and has most recently served as the school board’s liaison to the Town of Christiansburg. In 2024 she was elected as Vice Chair of the school board.

Local State Delegates

Chris Obenshain

In law school Chris served as Chairman of the UVA Chapter of the Federalist Society. He has held leadership positions in numerous Republican organizations including the Montgomery County Republican Party, the Radford City Republican Party, the Richmond City Republican Party, and the Bridgewater College Republicans. He also chartered and served as Chairman of the Roanoke/NRV Young Republicans. Chris also served 22 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, first as an enlisted Soldier, and now as a Lt Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve JAG Corps. He is joined by his loving family consisting of his wife and three sons.

Jason S. Ballard

Ballard served in the United States Army for 12 years, including as a lawyer for the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Since retiring from the military, he has worked as an attorney and partner at Headley Ballard LLC. He is also a former member of the Pearisburg Town Council. He was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates to Distract 12 in November 2021. Ballard assumed office on January 12, 2022.

State Senators

T. Travis Hackworth

Travis Hackworth serves as the VA State Senator for District 5, representing all of Tazewell, Pulaski, Smyth, Giles, and and Bland Counties, all of Radford City and portions of Montgomery and Wythe Counties. Senator Hackworth has served Southwest Virginia since first elected in 2021.

David R. Suetterlein

Suetterlein is a member of the Virginia State Senate, representing Distract 4. Suetterlein ran for re-election for the Virginia State Senate to represent Distract 4. He won in the general election on November 7, 2023. He assumed office on January 10, 2024. His current term ends on January 12, 2028. He previously worked on the campaign and senate staff of Ken Cuccinelli and on the senate staff of his predecessor, Ralph K. Smith.


U.S. Representative

Morgan Griffith

Morgan Griffith was first elected to represent the Ninth Congressional District of Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives on November 2, 2010. Morgan is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. For the 118th Congress, Morgan was named Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. He is also a member of the Subcommittee on Health and the Subcommittee on Energy. Further, he serves as a member of the Committee on House Administration.

Glenn Youngkin

Winsome Earle-Sears

Winsome was first elected in 2002 to a majority Black House of Delegates district, a first for a Republican in Virginia since 1865. She is proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps. In addition, she has served as the Vice President of the Virginia State Board of Education; and as a presidential appointee to the US Census Bureau, as co-chair of the African American Committee; and the Advisory Committee on Women Veterans to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, the Lieutenant Governor serves on various state boards and commissions.

Attorney General

Jason Miyares

Miyares previously served as a prosecutor in the Virginia Beach Commonwealth's Attorney Office. After serving for three terms in the state legislature, he ran and was elected the 48th Attorney General of Virginia in 2021. Miyares is the first Hispanic American to be elected to a statewide office in Virginia, and the first child of an immigrant to be Attorney General. Since his inauguration in January 2022, Miyares has been focused on fighting violent crime and improving public safety, strengthening economic growth, combatting the deadly impact of opioids and fentanyl, and protecting Virginians from corporate misconduct.
